After only ever having my horses at home or on yards that I was 'in charge' of, I found myself having to search for livery yards when I moved to Surrey. Reference:  I kept my young horse with Pat for about 9mths during which time he was looked after brilliantly, he was extremely relaxed and happy in the yard from day one.  Pat really does pay attention to the smallest detail, whether a rug strap is undone or if your horse isn't quite right, it will be noticed.  And on those occasions that work calls and you cannot make it to the yard, Pat was on hand to save the day.   Pat is very patient and calm around horses and puts them first, often doing things for people that are beyond the call of duty.  Sadly I have had to move my horse at the moment due to pregnancy, but I miss Pat and all the other liveries, all such nice people who really care about their horses and each other.
